Oct 27, 2014 · The dealership said the DMTL pump was being damaged somehow by "overfilling". Sounded like BS to me, but they supposedly replaced the DMTL pump 3 times. Finally I discovered that if I filled the tank SLOOOOOOOWLY, the problem would not occur.

Pinch the hose that is on top of the leak detection pump and carefully work it upwards until it is disconnected. Step 3: Remove three 15 torx bit screws that are under the leak detection pump.
