Dec 31, 2002 · The title of this thead is "what is the best inexpensive 1911" I gave my opinon simply because I own two that I consider inexpensive and know there is another out there (RIA) made by the same folks and it is even less expensive. As far as flamming you goes, don't worry about that. There is no point in fighting about our opinions.

Final Verdict. The 1911 A1 US Army from Tisas is a cool throwback to a firearm that helped win two world wars. It’s a faithful reproduction of that pistol, as designed and improved upon by John Moses Browning. The pistol is reliable with the right ammo, accurate enough, and won’t break the bank.Inexpensive doesn’t necessarily equate to value in a 1911, but with the two Officer models, one each from Taurus and Taylor’s, and a Commander from American Tactical, Inc. (ATI), we found some value-packed compact 1911s. Not perfect by any means, but good performance for the cost.Tisas pistols are a great entry level 1911. I've owned 2 and both of them ran flawlessly.
