My Mods folder currently contains over 19,000 files (69GB). My game takes about 3 minutes to go from double-click to main menu. Menu to gameplay is another 30 seconds (if nothing else is running) to 90 seconds if I have other things running. My system is self built, and I'm not a "normal" user, so it's way above the Sims 4 recommended specs.
