Membrane sweep after losing mucus plug

It is normal for the mucus plug to be streaked with blood, but contact your hospital or midwife right away if you are losing more blood or pass any blood clots.

Is this a promising sign? Yesterday i had so many contractions that i just knew it was time, went to sleep and they went away. Ugh. But today i lost my mucus plug, A LOT OF IT!
